The Pitfalls of worldrunning ;-)

Sometimes its easy to dwell on past efforts and the report two days ago certainly was a clear example. Resting on previous achievements doesnt do much in reguards to paving the road to future success ! And this certainly was an example ;-) After, to an embarrasing extend, having absorbed myself in the achievemnts in world run 1 - the past two days certainly showed what that translates to in running terms: Not Much !

Two short stages, 23k yesterday and just barely 30k today; and struggeling all the way. I think its a common experiense that the more we sink down in the comfort of past 'glory' the less we become able to let go of our comfort and seek out towards that zone of 'less comfort' in which the great achievements are found !

This 'mental obesity' is a thing that often slowly builds during extreme or long efforts like these runs, and slowly one begins to look back instead of Forward.

Yet there ceartainly are reason to look forward, not least when running in such a fantastic contry and nature as Equador where every day holds a new set of treats for the eyes and senses to explore. Seldom saw I such beauty in the world :-)

And I hope to try to translate it into a bit of a better effort during the next days !
