Restday

A kind of magic ??

Its time for the monthly restday and thus also to take look back on the events that passed by: the longest stage so far in wr2 (100km run the 26/2), the signifikant shift in terrain from the barren but beautifull Pampas to the green farmlands along the Rio Negro; the breakdown of the supportcar & the quick Friendly help when getting it repaired.. Not to mention the change in temperatures from smooth running in near optimal conditions between 15 and 25c, to the present 25 - 40c which on occation makes both runner & supportcar overheat ;-)

Yes, amonth w. its fair share of drama.

But also with some 'magic' apparently !

- I wanted to write a bit on my impressions of Argentina so far, after 2months of running through its nature & culture; but then a bit of "Argentinian magic" required my attention instead:

One of the things I have looked most forward to (besides challenging myself on the 100km-day :-) is a packet from Ecco w. new running shoes for the next many thousands of kms ahead !!

I wassupposed to pick it up in Neuquen on my restday, but it seems a magic trick has occoured: The packed was send from Denmark via DHL and arrived in Bournes Aires to be shipped further into Argentina. But since the packet entered customs nothing is heard of it. 10days has passed since and it seems that "magic" of a bad kind has struck at customs, disappearing the packet !

A pity; also for the presents from my family. And an ugly impression of Argentina.
