Start 09:06am, 23c, l. wind, clear. At green exitsign "Pt. Madryn ->" on hwy. 3 to Bournes Aires.
Finish 13:00pm, 38c, a few clouds and no wind. At small white fence-marker "60-4" on hwy. 3.
Better than home ?
A light run of 30km and then back to our bace at Pt. Madryn: the most "touristy" city we have seen since Punta Arenas 1500km of running back; bristling w. holidaymakers from all over S. America, europe and usa !
But the city also caugh me by surprise w. an accomodation amongst the best Ive experiensed in 1 1/2 run around the planet :-)
On the scale from goat-dropping decorated rooms in Sudan & Ethiopia, a concrete police detention cell in upper Egypt .. via high prized mid-range-quality hotels in europe ... to 5-star stays at the Hilton in Addis Abeba or the Sheraton Towers in Jordan - Then the modestly prized Appartementos Los Tulipanes/"Apart Hotel Los Tulipanes" in Madryn is perhaps the overall best place Ive ever stayed during my world runs !
A calm & friendly ambience, a huge appartment all to yourself, a small swimmingpool even w. a lawn (I havent seen grass since Pta. Arenas eighter !!) and a smiling dutch/argentinian host !
What more can you ask ?
I fealt at home; perhaps more at home than at my Home !
