Start 08:30am. unknown bridge 67km S. of Marsabit on the main rd./A2 to Nairobi. 24c, allm. cl. and l. wind. Finish 13:36pm.At sign "Office of the president, Laisamis county" in Laisamis village on the main rd./A2 to Nairobi. 36c and same.

After yesterdays stomack trouble itwas pleasant to be back on the road again. A little drained of energy (as I believe you can see from the time ;-), but nevertheless enjoyable in the fantastic semi-desert landscape !
Rugged peaks a'la Matterhorn rising above vast flat plains of orange & dark red sand dottet by huge black volcano outcroppings.

We stay for the night at a policemans house in the little desert village Laisamis where we have been treated w. excellent friendship - caring forour rest & wellbeeing and inviting us for traditional Kenyan ugali-lunch & dinner.

The dimitutive hotels are closed due to a cholera epedemi in the village. Sweet dreams !
